A couple times it did it to a degree that it was unplayable and I had to restart the console wich helped, but yeah the stutter is definitely a thing on Xbox one at least. Seems to happen more often on the expansions and the add on for some reason. And I certainly would've liked to seen what happened to Tommy, as supposedly, even though he wasn't the lead, he was still going to be a NPC in the game. It doesn't kill the game or anything but it is a occasional annoyance. That game looked awesome, for an open-galaxy / open-world FPS. I still wish Human Head's Prey 2 would get finished and released by someone. Man, I still have my boxed retail copy of Quake Wars and my retail copy of Wolfenstein 2009.Īre there still good numbers of players still play Quake Wars ET anymore? On the other hand, Q4 is set in the same universe as ET:QW. VanishedOne: Well, there are more than three id Tech 4 games but (not counting stuff made after the engine went open source), Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and Brink are multiplayer-centric, Prey 2 never came out, and Wolfenstein (2009) has a historical setting (and rewrote the renderer to use DirectX from what I've read, at least in singleplayer), so it's possible to see D3, Q4 and Prey as a kind of core set of FPS games where you're fighting creatures mostly in science fiction techbase-type environments away from Earth.
